Tom is on Heathrow Airport London on his way to Istanbul. In the airplane he reads his fiancée Angela's letter to him. Next to Tom sat a man. He introduced himself as Kemal. They talked a lot with each other. Kemal gave Tom his address. In the letter from Angela it says that Tom must go to the Park Hotel and go to the American Bar. Tom went by bus. While the bus was waiting for a traffic light a car stopped near the bus. Two men and a women get out. One of them was Angela, realised Tom. But before Tom could get out of the bus the light become green and the bus drove away. Tom went to the American bar. The whole evening he waited for Angela but she didn’t come. In his room he called the phone number on the letter but nobody answered. Then he went to the receptionist and asks where Kamerot Sokak was, which was quite near. Tom picked up his suitcase and left the hotel. Kamerot Sokak seemed like an old building. He didn’t see any light, so he left. Tom went to the Ankara Hotel were he slept for some nights. In the morning Tom went to the grey building where he saw Angela.He said that he was looking for Angela Thomson. Through a door came a man: Mr Dùnja. He said that Angela is dead. Tom asked how this could get happen. Mr Dùnja said it was a car accident. Angela was driving along a dangerous road en she got off the road. Tom left Mr. Dùnja. He got a card with 2 telephone numbers, one from Mr. Dùnja and the other from the consulate. That day he phoned Kemal and when they met, Tom told him everything that was happened. Kemal asked where he had seen Angela and they drove to the building were Angela went in. In the building there were a dentist, a lawyer and a doctor. When they had lunch they went to the Consulate where Tom told the whole story again. Kemal and Tom asked of they could identify the body but that wasn’t possible because it was burned, they said. Tom and Kemal left the building and Tom told Kemal that he had plans to leave Istanbul. But Kemal was against it, he said that Tom should relax first before he went home. When they walked into a park Kemal said they should walk a bit faster, because someone was following them.They split op and decided to phone each other that evening. Tom took a taxi to his hotel. That evening the phone in Tom’s room ringed. Tom thought it was Kemal but it was a women, and she wanted to meet Tom. When they met she said her name was Julie and she knew a lot about Angela. She told Tom Angela enjoyed her work and all the other things she did. But after a while Angela was acting a bit strange. When Angela was having a lunch with Julie suddenly Mr. Dùnja came in. Angela looked as if she was scared of him. That’s why Julie wanted to meet with Tom, she thinks Mr. Dùnja has something to do with Angela disappearing. Tom told what he had seen, and where. Tom decided to search for Angela now he knows that she is still alive. Julie told him to be careful and left.The next day Tom met Kemal and they made up a plan to get rid of the guy who was following him. They knew now that the man was a man of Mr. Dùnja. Tom went to Mr Dùnja's office and said he would leave Istanbul. Tom went to the airport knowing the man was following him, he checked in and in front of the entrance of the gate to the airplane, there was a crowd and in the crowd the man lost sight of Tom, and Tom hid in the toilets. After the plane left the man thought Tom was on the plane, so he left. After a while Tom gets out of the toilets and went to Kemal's place, they decided to follow Mr. Dùnja to his home. Tom gets a wig and a fake mustache, to make sure that Mr. Dùnja wouldn’t recognise him. When they were at Kemals place they decided that Angela must have been worried about something on her work, so they must search trough Mr. Dùnja store. Kemal thought of a plan, because Dunya sells ornaments and his parents too, he could sell a box full for cheap so he can get inside Dunya’s store. When Mr. Dùnja was in his office at work Kemal knocked on the door and told Mr. Dùnja he wanted to sell them quick because he needed the money. When they brought the box inside the workshop, Kemals brother called to Mr. Dùnja so Kemal could see around, while Mr. Dùnja was on the phone. Kemal checked the store out and noticed a low wall in the courtyard. When Mr. Dùnja came back he paid Kemal, and Kemal leaved. Kemal and Tom drove back and in his hotel they decided to break in the courtyard. That evening when it was dark and they went to the alley were the wall was, they climb on it and saw that they have split the ornaments and put little bags of drugs in it. On that moment Tom knocked against a wooden plank on the floor and that made a lot of noise.A few seconds later they were caught. Inside the workshop was Mr. Dùnja with a gun, he said Angela was in his villa as a guest. Mr. Dùnja and his men took Kemal and Tom in the Mercedes and drove them to his villa. When they were at his villa he wanted to open the door but suddenly he heard a voice that said: “Stop! this is the police, stop or else we will shoot”. A few seconds later the door opened and Angela ran out in Toms arms, they were happy to see each other again, Tom introduced Kemal and said he helped a lot. Later that night they were in Mr. Pennington’s flat in the Consulates building an talked and were happy to be safe.
